Zippy is a coffee roasting company that is inspired by the vintage motorcycle racing that used to take place at Carlsbad Raceway in Carlsbad, CA. They needed branding and packaging that spotlights that culture in a modern and fresh way.
It was important to know when to pull back when utilizing the awesome vintage photographs from that time. Keeping them more as fun pops helps keep interest and allows for breathing room in the designs.
Zippy needed a logo as unique as them. Hand lettering a script that incorporates a lightening bolt gives it a bold, vintage feeling that evokes energy and power.
Zippy's merch is quirky and slightly masculine so the company's cult following can represent it proudly.
